Samsung Galaxy Buds On Launched: India Price, Specs, Features & Launch Date

Samsung has launched its first open-ear wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, with a unique clip-on design. The earbuds were first released in South Korea on October 27, 2026, and are now set to arrive in the US on November 6, 2026.

Unlike traditional earbuds that go inside the ear canal, the Galaxy Buds On sit outside the ear and clip around it. This design allows users to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music or taking calls, making them a good option for outdoor activities and daily commuting.

Samsung Galaxy Buds On India Launch Date

Samsung has not announced an official India launch date for the Galaxy Buds On yet. The earbuds were first released in South Korea on October 27, 2026, and the company has said that a global rollout will follow in stages.

The Galaxy Buds On are set to launch in the US on November 6, 2026, priced at $229. Europe is expected to get the earbuds by early 2027, but Samsung has not confirmed an India launch date so far.

Samsung Galaxy Buds On Price in India

In South Korea, the Galaxy Buds On are priced at KRW 299,000, which is roughly Rs 21,000. In the US, the earbuds are priced at $229.

Based on these prices, the Galaxy Buds On are expected to be priced around Rs 20,000 to Rs 22,000 in India, if and when they launch here. However, the final India price will depend on taxes, import duties and Samsung’s local pricing strategy.

Sound Quality and Audio Features

The Galaxy Buds On are designed to deliver clear and balanced sound despite their open-ear design. The Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 chip and Class-D amplifier help improve audio processing, while the 11.3mm TwinBoost speakers focus on better low-frequency output.

Samsung has also added an Audio Leakage Reduction system to limit sound escaping from the open-ear design. This is important because open-ear earbuds naturally let more sound out, and this feature helps keep audio private in public spaces.

Automatic volume adjustment is another key feature. It adapts playback based on the surrounding environment, so users don’t have to manually change the volume when moving between quiet and noisy areas.

Call Quality and Voice Pickup

For calls, the Galaxy Buds On come with three microphones and a bone-conduction-based Voice Pickup Unit sensor. Machine learning is used to separate the user’s voice from background sounds, improving call clarity in noisy environments.

The earbuds also support Intelligent Clear Call, which uses ML-based noise removal to further enhance voice quality during calls.

Battery Life and Charging

Each earbud has a 61mAh battery, while the charging case comes with a 550mAh battery. Together, they provide up to 38 hours of music playback and up to 25 hours of voice calling.

A single charge of the earbuds lasts up to 5.5 hours for voice calls and 9.5 hours for music playback. The case also supports wireless charging, adding to the convenience.

Design and Comfort

The clip-on design of the Galaxy Buds On is one of its biggest highlights. Instead of going inside the ear canal, the earbuds rest outside the ear and clip around it, providing a secure fit without blocking ambient sound.

Samsung used 119 million ear data points to design the fit of these earbuds, ensuring comfort for a wide range of ear shapes and sizes.

The earbuds come in a single black colour option and use the same case design as the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro. They are also compatible with Galaxy Buds 4 series accessories.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The Galaxy Buds On connect via Bluetooth 6.2 and support multiple codecs including SSC, SSC UHQ, AAC, SBC and LC3.

However, the earbuds do not support Bluetooth multipoint, meaning users cannot connect them to two devices at the same time. They also lack Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is expected given the open-ear design.

The earbuds support Gemini Live, allowing users to interact with Google’s AI assistant directly through the earbuds.

Should You Wait for Galaxy Buds On in India?

For users who prefer open-ear earbuds and want a premium option from a trusted brand, the Galaxy Buds On could be worth waiting for. The clip-on design, long battery life and Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 chip make them a strong contender in the premium TWS segment.

However, since Samsung has not confirmed an India launch yet, buyers who need earbuds immediately may want to consider other options currently available in the market. Those who can wait should keep an eye on Samsung India’s official channels for an announcement.

What Happens Next

Samsung is expected to share more details about the global rollout of the Galaxy Buds On in the coming weeks. The US launch on November 6 will be a key milestone, and India’s availability will likely depend on how the rollout progresses in other markets.

Until then, fans of open-ear earbuds will have to wait for confirmation on the India launch date, pricing and availability details.
