BYD Seal Variants and Price (ex-showroom)

The BYD Seal comes in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance, positioning itself competitively against other premium EVs in the Indian market. This caters to a wider audience, with options prioritizing affordability, extended range, or exhilarating performance.

  • Dynamic Range: Starting at ₹41 lakh, this is the entry point to the Seal lineup, prioritizing affordability and practicality.
  • Premium Range: Priced around ₹45.55 lakh, this mid-tier variant offers the most compelling balance of cost and a substantial 650km range (NEDC cycle).
  • Performance: At ₹53 lakh, enthusiasts get a dual-motor AWD setup with 530hp, 670 Nm of torque, and a blistering 0-100 kmph acceleration of 3.8 seconds.

Battery and Powertrain

The BYD Seal is available with two battery options: a 61.44 kWh pack exclusively for the Dynamic variant, and an 82.56 kWh pack for the Premium and Performance variants. The BYD Seal is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque in the Dynamic variant, 308 bhp and 360 Nm in the Premium variant, to 522 bhp and 670 Nm in the Performance variant.

BYD Seal Range (NEDC cycle)

The BYD Seal offers an impressive range, in the Dynamic trim, Seal boasts a claimed range of 510 km and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds. The Premium trim offers figures of 650 km range and 5.9 seconds acceleration, while the Performance trim provides 580 km range and 3.8 seconds acceleration. This makes it one of the most range-efficient electric cars on the market. The Sedan also supports fast charging.

The BYD Seal has a spacious and well-appointed interior. The car features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera. The seats are comfortable and supportive, and there is plenty of legroom and headroom for both passengers in the front and rear. Additionally, the BYD Seal is equipped with a range of driver-assistance features, including Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
