MP News: A man in Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh has allegedly killed his son with an axe in response to his continuous requests for a bicycle. After committing the horrible act, the father immediately fled the scene. Police are currently searching for him.

The incident happened in Kanti village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Banda Police Station.
According to Police, Yashwant, a 12 year old, demanded his father, Nirpat Lodhi, from Kanti village, to purchase him a bicycle but the father refused due to lack of money. In his rage, Nirpat took an axe and killed his son instantly.

Upon being informed of the incident, the Banda police station reached the spot immediately and started investigate the situation. The accused father has since absconded.
Incident at home
The police have taken a Panchnama of the body and forwarded it for post-mortem.
Banda police station in-charge Nasir Ahmed Farooqui said that the father had killed his son with an axe at their home. “A case of murder has been registered against the accused in the case. The accused has been absconding since the incident while a search for him is going on,” he added.
