A short video from Amitabh Bachchan’s show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’ is getting a lot of attention on social media. In the video, Amitabh Bachchan asked a contestant from Madhya Pradesh about their Chief Minister, who is known for making lots of announcements. After the video upset some people, the show’s makers released a statement to address the situation.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 15: Viral video
In a viral video that people are sharing from KBC 15, Amitabh Bachchan asked, “Which Chief Minister is dubbed an announcement machine??” Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister was the contestant’s answer. If the contestant was correct, they would have won Rs 20,000.
But the Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department says that the viral video is not real. They say it’s fake and the person who made the fake video and shared it online for damaging the Chief Minister’s reputation.

Sony TV’s response
In response to the criticism, Sony TV said in a statement on X that the viral video has a fake voiceover of the host and has been changed to make it look different from what actually happened.

Fact Check: Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s Viral video
The fact-checking page showed the real video and confirmed that the earlier viral video had been messed with or changed, “The video posted on the official YouTube channel of KBC on January 20, 2023, is being tampered with and is being made viral on social media and WhatsApp groups with the intention of tarnishing the image of CM Shri @ChouhanShivraj, it is fake.”

Jan Sampark Fact Check has also posted a video of participant Bhupendra seen in the viral video. In this video, he tells that this question related to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was not asked to him in the show.

The TV channel released a statement about the video, saying, “We have been alerted to the circulation of an unauthorised video from our show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. This video misleadingly overlays a fabricated voice-over of our host and presents distorted content. Upholding the show’s integrity and our viewers’ trust is paramount, and we are actively addressing this matter with the cyber crime cell. We strongly condemn such misinformation, urge our audience to be vigilant, and refrain from sharing unverified content”.
