  • Linked Mobile Number: The mobile number registered with your Aadhaar is essential for receiving OTPs (One-Time Passwords) during the download process. Make sure it’s up-to-date in the UIDAI database.

Downloading with your Aadhaar Number

  • Access the UIDAI Website: Visit the official Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website at https://uidai.gov.in/.
  • Find the Download Section: Go to the “My Aadhaar” tab and locate the “Download Aadhaar” option.
  • Select Aadhaar Number: Choose the “I have Aadhaar” option.
  • Enter Your Details: Fill in your 12-digit Aadhaar number, your full name as per Aadhaar records, and your residential PIN code.
  • Solve the Captcha: Type in the security code (captcha) displayed on the screen.
  • Get an OTP: Click on “Request OTP” and you’ll receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number.
  • Verify and Download: Enter the OTP and click the “Verify and Download” button to download your e-Aadhaar.

  • Follow Initial Steps: Repeat steps 1 and 2 from Method 1.
  • Select Enrollment ID: Choose the “I have Enrolment ID” option.
  • Provide EID and Other Details: Enter your 28-digit Enrollment ID (found on your acknowledgment slip), your full name, and PIN code.
  • Complete Captcha and OTP: Solve the captcha, request an OTP, and follow the same verification steps as in Method 1.

Masked Aadhar Card for Enhanced Privacy

If you’re concerned about sharing your full Aadhaar number, opt for the “Masked Aadhaar.” This version hides the first 8 digits, revealing only the last 4. Simply select the “Masked Aadhaar” option before downloading.
