Photographers Chased Kajol: Actress Says ‘Celebrity hoon, isiliye Complaint nahi kar Sakti’

Bollywood actor Kajol has spoken out about the paparazzi culture in India, saying that she feels like she is constantly under surveillance.

In a recent interview, Kajol recalled an incident where she was chased by photographers on bikes while she was simply crossing Bandra.

“I had not gone for a shoot, I had not gone to a public place, I had not gone to a hotel or a restaurant,” Kajol said. “But because I am a star, I have to be constantly on my guard.”

Kajol said that she understands that being photographed is part of her job, but she believes that there is a line between being photographed and being harassed.

She said that she is worried about the safety of herself and her family, and she called on the paparazzi to be more respectful of celebrities’ privacy.

“Can’t the stars be in danger?” Kajol asked. “Can’t the stars be followed by people who want to harm them? I am not saying that all paparazzi are like that, but there are some who are.”

Kajol’s comments come at a time when there is growing concern about the paparazzi culture in India. In recent years, there have been several incidents of celebrities being harassed by photographers.

In 2017, actor Deepika Padukone was attacked by a group of photographers while she was leaving a hospital. And in 2020, actor Alia Bhatt was followed by a group of photographers while she was driving home.

Kajol’s comments have been met with support from other celebrities. Actor Sonam Kapoor tweeted her support for Kajol, saying that “the paparazzi culture in India is toxic and needs to be stopped.”
