8-year-old boy order an AK-47 from dark web, get it delivered to home

An 8-year-old boy in the Netherlands has shocked his mother after he ordered an AK-47 from the dark web and had it delivered to their home.

The boy’s mother, Barbara Gemen, said that she was completely unaware of her son’s activities until the gun arrived at their doorstep. She told Euronews that she had no idea that her son was even interested in guns, let alone that he would be able to order one online.

Gemen said that her son had been spending a lot of time behind the computer and had become interested in hacking at a young age. He had started by ordering small items online without paying for them, but he had eventually progressed to more serious crimes.

“He started ordering things on the Internet without paying,” Gemen said. “Then he started hacking into people’s computers and stealing their personal information. And then he started ordering guns.”

Gemen said that she was shocked and horrified when she found out what her son had done. She immediately contacted the police, who confiscated the gun and launched an investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing, but Gemen said that she is now determined to educate herself about cybersecurity and to help other parents protect their children from the dangers of the internet.

“I want to make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else,” she said. “I want to make sure that other parents know what to look for and how to protect their children.”
