Even though the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has warned people not to behave inappropriately on the train, many videos of couples not following these rules keep appearing online.

Another video like that one, where a couple passionately kissing on the train, has become really popular on social media. But the people around them didn’t seem to care, which suggests that this kind of thing happens a lot become a common occurrence.
The video makes the faces of the couple blurry, but it’s easy to see that they were getting really close hugs and even sharing kiss near the doors of the moving train.
The person who posted the video said it happened at Anand Vihar. They shared the video in a joking way with a caption like,“ Another emotional video of Anand Vihar #delhimetro (OYO). Maybe we have forgotten that love is blind, people are not.”
The video has gone viral on ‘X’ (formally known as Twitter), people online are pretty much saying the same thing. They’re angry that couples are doing inappropriate things on public transport and don’t seem to care about the rules from DMRC.”

Before, when videos of people kissing on the metro went viral, DMRC issued a statement condemning such behaviour. “DMRC expects its commuters to behave responsibly while using the Delhi Metro and follow all social etiquette and protocols which are acceptable in the society. Commuters should not indulge in any indecent/obscene activity that may cause discomfort or could offend the sensibilities of other fellow commuters. DMRC’s Operations & Maintenance Act, in fact, lists out indecency as a punishable offence under Section-59,” the statement declared.
“We appeal to our commuters to kindly refrain from indulging in such obscene activities and maintain social etiquette/decorum while travelling in a mass public transport system like the Delhi Metro. We also want other passengers to tell Metro Staff or CISF immediately if they see such things happening, so that appropriate action can be taken,” the statement said.
